David E. Barber is a writer of epic fantasy novels and stories. He began his professional writing career as a writer of horror fiction and was a member of the Horror Writer’s Association for two years. He attended the Taos School of Writing where he was fortunate to meet many talented authors including Stephen R. Donaldson, David Morrell, and Suzy McKee Charnas. His first short story, A Christmas Tale, was published in Lynx Eye magazine a few months later.

It was the publication of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice that inspired David to change his focus to writing novels and working in the epic fantasy genre. While on a family vacation to Los Angeles he first conceived of writing a multi-book epic fantasy series based on a long running role playing game he had participated in for many years. A prelude to the series entitled The Fabled Beast of Elddon was written for, and first appeared at, the Denver Comic Con in 2016.

The Draakonor Chronicles is a series of epic fantasy books, novellas, and short stories that take place in a mythical world called Ninavar and tells the story of the heroes and villains whose fates are intertwined with the shards of an ancient gemstone called the Draakonor.
